What is the Investment Clinic?

Identifying the gaps in SME or other corporate's investor readiness, recommending actionable steps, showcasing 'investor-ready' SMEs and other corporates to potential investors, and connecting SMEs and other corporates to the capital market and other technical assistance ecosystems; to help them build thriving and sustainable businesses that will attract the best investors.

Why the investment clinic?

The purpose of this program is to evaluate selected SMEs and other corporates to identify gaps in their state of investor -readiness, assist them to fill the gaps and connect them to the capital market ecosystem.

Who is this program for?

This is for SMEs and other corporates that are committed to sustainable growth, meet the selection criteria at each selection round and demonstrate long-term commitment to the investor-readiness ideals of the clinic.

Be part of it as an SME or other corporate

Look out for selection openings, check that you meet the criteria for that selection round and apply to be considered for the diagnostic services. You can register as an SME on the link above to receive notifications of application season openings.

Be part of it as a technical assistance provider

Register with the secretariat and support its activities, by working with them to streamline how to recognize SMEs that have completed the program and give them priority access to your programs.

Be part of it as a prospective advisor

Register as a service provider with the secretariat to be notified when the selection period of advisors opens. Check if you meet the eligibility for that selection and apply to be considered as part of an Advisory Team for assigned SMEs.

The Rwanda Stock Exchange is the national securities exchange of Rwanda, providing a regulated marketplace for buying, selling, and listing financial instruments such as shares, corporate bonds, and government securities. Organized and regulated financial market where securities are bought and sold at prices governed by the forces of demand and supply, Stock exchanges impose stringent rules, listing requirements, and statutory requirements that are binding on all listed and trading parties.

Yes. The market operates under a robust regulatory framework designed to protect investors, ensure transparency, and maintain market integrity.

All trades are executed through licensed stockbrokers on the RSE’s trading platform, with settlement and clearing done through the Central Securities Depository (CSD). The standard settlement cycle is T+2, meaning transactions are completed two business days after the trade date.

Trading hours are typically from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (local time), Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Both local and foreign individuals, institutions, and companies can invest in listed securities on the RSE.
